The American Dream

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”  -Dr. Seuss

Ah, the simplicity of words, the simplicity of a message in a children’s book. Yes, yes Dr. Seuss you were right.. and yet we have forgotten your words and their might. [[did y’all catch my lil rhyme ;-D]]

It is in reading that I consistently come across words of wisdom, ideals of the past preaching sermons for the turmoil of today, the reiteration of what is truthfully the continuous American cycle of the fight for justice, for rights, for the people.

In this realization, today I will merely quote a man of action from the past, reiterating the very words I myself have spoken time after time.

As Saul Alinksy put the turmoil of America [[as have all Pure Lunatics in various other forms]]:

“The great American dream that reached out to the stars has been lost to the stripes. We have forgotten where we came from, we don’t know where we are, and we fear where we may be going. Afraid, we turn from the glorious adventure of the pursuit of happiness to a pursuit of an illusionary security in an ordered, stratified, striped society. Our way of life is symbolized to the world by the stripes of military force. At home we have made a mockery of being our brother’s keeper by being his jail keeper. When Americans can no longer see the stars, the times are tragic. We must believe that it is the darkness before the dawn of a beautiful new world; we will see it when we believe it.”

And so all I ask is for you to BELIEVE.
This is PURE LUNACY.
